Project GreenCity
Creating a multimedia story that informs people about energy transition.
The challenge
Climate change is a major problem and is therefore increasingly in
the news. We all hate it, but what are we doing about it? By 2050 we must be energy
neutral in Europe, but this goal is far out of sight.
For this project, we have been working on the question of how we can make the build
environment more energy neutral. Our project group focused on making cities greener.
process
We started by investigating what products are currently available on
the market to enable the energy transition and solutions known to help to tackle climate
problems. We found that by adding flora to rooftops and outerwalls to buildings, less
energy is needed for heating and cooling. In additon this measure provides other
benefits for the climate.
With this insight we created project Greencity; a multimedia story to show and inform
about ways to improve our citie / build environment.
